The light is red and very dim, and I am in a bathtub full of dark water. Each participant enters alone and closes the door behind them, sits next to me on a small bench and I invite them to put on a set of the headphones—they hear the sounds of the room are amplified: the water when I move, the noises outside, our breaths and voices… | I ask them to show me on their phone a photo that they don’t want anyone to see, or that no one else has seen, or that is significant for them for any reason. We talk about that image, why to choose it, why to take it, what it shows and what is there but is not evident. | I ask them to send me the photo through WhatsApp and we use it as an excuse to talk about memory. During the conversation, I use my phone’s screen in negative mode as an enlarger, I copy the image on photographic paper and reveal it. | I offer them the photo on paper in exchange for deleting it from their phone forever.
